Growing up in Ann Arbor and being a part of the community for many years has grown in me a love for the diverse people and perspectives in the city.

As time has gone by, the skills, experience, and training I developed in youth ministry moved me into Biblical Counseling… So, who am I?

Skilled listener.

I have a natural ability to listen deeply and empathize with those around me. I approach each conversation with an open mind and a genuine curiosity, asking thoughtful questions and actively listening to the responses. I know that being a great listener is not just about hearing the words that are spoken, but also about understanding the emotions and intentions behind them.

Experienced connector.

One of my greatest strengths is my ability to connect with people. I quickly build relationships with others regardless of their background or experiences. Whether it's through shared interests, experiences, or simply a mutual understanding and respect, I love to get to know people and make them feel at ease. I approach each session with a genuine curiosity and desire to know someone new.

Faithful follower.

As a follower of Jesus, it is essential to me that I love others as best I can. The love I have received from my savior has influenced every aspect of my life and it is to his glory and honor that I work. I hope that, no matter who you are, I will give you a sense of being known, appreciated, and encouraged.

Clinically informed.

Through my training at Westminster Theological Seminary I have been able to learn about common mental health care. This, in addition to continued study and close connections with other counselors, psychiatrists, and psychologists in the area, keep me up to date in what care may be best suited to your needs.

Biblically literate.

I have been studying the Bible for most of my life and in addition to my undergraduate degree in Bible, I have also studied at a Masters level in seminary. The biggest thing I have learned is the importance of humility in interpretation and application of Scripture. There is one truth, but it is God who knows all things and I study in submission to His authority.

Community minded.

Though I am open to scheduling virtual sessions due to the convenience it offers for many, I prefer to work in person with those who are a part of Washtenaw County. It is important to me that any impact I’m able to have not only betters those who meet with me, but also their work, families, and relationships in this community.
